Tracy Lee is currently the Coordinator of Family Engagement in the Department of Special Education and Student Services at the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE). She leads family engagement efforts for families of students with disabilities throughout the Commonwealth.

She has been an elementary school teacher, preschool director, and the Family Resource Coordinator for Colonial Heights Public Schools. Mrs. Lee has co-authored two bestselling parenting books (1-2-3 Magic for Kids and the 1-2-3 Magic Workbook) and has appeared on ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox affiliates, nationwide, discussing parenting and education related issues. Mrs. Lee also serves as an Executive Board Member for Women Education Leaders in Virginia (WELV). She was the 2019 recipient of the Virginia Governor’s Honor Award in the category of Personal and Professional Excellence, the 2021 recipient of WELV’s Region 1 Educational Leader of the Year Award, and was recently named by Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan as a 2024 Woman of Excellence in Virginia’s Fourth Congressional District.
